Update new bearing sourced and fully installed HURRAY !! my latest youtube video is up HERE
I’m giving Graham @ Rulla bearings eBaY a big up only ordered it around 4.30pm Friday and arrived in the post today all for £9.49 AWESOME here for info he has the full selection top work
Got me out Sunday with the Wheelers 🙂 super smooth again
Finding it difficult to locate the correct bearing ?? don’t worry I was in the same boat after failing to write it down when NEW !!!
I’m giving VELOBUILD a 2nd chance and emailed them for assistance (see what happens, after all bikes not a year old so ideally I’d like some backup for my purchase rather than being banned for plainly speaking openly about the bike build issues)
Update: Chris (always seems helpful replied BONUS)
Initially I got a reply as I fancied an new frame and enquired about the R-055 super light, but nothing after that, I got its 49mm (which it isn’t) I’ll send a free one with the new frame HA nice offer but I need it yesterday !!!!
Late 2013 model R-041 (velobuild post HERE USERNAME BANNED ??)

*** Lower bearing *** – MH-P16 (ID 40 x OD 52 x 7 x 45/45 degree’s eBay UK sell these @ £7.90ea + post
decent price and availability, as always I hope its helped just a little even if its write it down when brand new save the hassle like me running & searching for the right part number and also save buying it twice 🙂
I’ll note I have no issue with VELOBUILD and only offered advice on my downfalls along the way, the clamp with screws too long and the hanger made from cheese, I’m moving on a year on.
I would buy another frame from them but I’d like the opportunity to talk about it on the FORUM
Graham also sells BB30 bearings on eBay as well very good value
hi there !
Do you know if it’s normal that the upper bearing of the headset sticks out of the steerer-tube for about 2mm ?
(When the aeroplate is mounted you can see the bearing…)
Greets from Egbert (NL)
Should clamp down when you install the stem and torque it up
