Di2 ordered from starbike Germany

Standard

Massive downside July 2015

Ultegra DI2 RD failed so where do I go ?? simply HASSLE, Wasn’t worth trying to save the extra cash, I guess with green light on ETUBe or everything else the RD was the culprit draining my battery !!! lesson learned

Can’t wait it had to be done, the big spend happened – latest 6870 ultegra 11 speed purchased minus the crank & BB

Can’t wait to get it built 🙂 kid with a new toy

arrived today – cost without cables and no crank/BB £892 but my amazon card robbed me another £26.67 OUCH thought paypal was BAD

6 cables came in at £84.58 with my 5% discount for being a weightweenies forum member from the main order. paypal charged me £7 for the pleasure + 15 euros postage OUCH again

should have been £126

So have I saved any money buying from Germany rather than the UK ??

£1003.25 – against £1100 not really worth the hassle waiting a few extra days in the end. 😦 hey ho

best save some on other parts then 🙂

Added 18th April 2020 (may need this as no screw like new version)

the none DI2 version comes in at £1999 with lower spec pedals and just mechanical ultegra groupset, not bad for a pretty decent spec’d bike. I’m not sure I could buy one with decent wheels, tyres, seat and groupset for that money. plus I’d have a spare ultegra crank to sell.

update 12th nov – starbike have the new 2014 ultegra 6870 in stock for £1109 free delivery a good start price with internal seatpost battery.
